Payroll Specialist

Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a position in Troy, MI! This position is paying $40-45k and includes a great benefits plan.

Duties:

• Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees (400+ Employees).
• Work closely with the Operations Managers to ensure all payroll inputs have been completed on a timely basis
• Must be able to review time records, compute wages, reconcile wages, overtime, and other types of pay with accuracy and compliance
• Assist in the maintenance of employee records and adhere to all state and federal laws
• Processing wage garnishments, child support and levies, post, update and reconcile all employee-related payroll deductions
• Checking time records for accuracy
• Handling direct deposit requests and input
• Processing paper checks for distribution
• Process new employees and terminations
• Establish and enter labor job cost budget information for new Accounts
• Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees
• Responsible for weekly payroll processing and works with Human Resources to maintain accurate payroll and employee databases.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in processing payroll
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of payroll, garnishments and benefits distribution
• Computer literate and must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
