Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Warehouse Lead to take ownership of our client’s warehouse operations. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods, from receiving to shipping. Beyond the core responsibilities, a positive attitude and a flexible approach to tasks are essential for success in this small team environment. This is a temp-to-hire position with the potential for long-term employment and excellent benefits upon successful completion of the temporary period.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a sit-down forklift (hilo) safely and skillfully to move and organize materials.

• Accurately and efficiently pick and pack customer orders, ensuring attention to detail.

• Assist with the receiving and unloading of incoming inventory, verifying accuracy.

• Prepare shipments and coordinate effectively with carriers like FedEx and UPS.

• Proactively contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, including tasks such as sweeping and dusting as needed.

• Demonstrate a positive and team-oriented attitude in all interactions.

• Be open and willing to complete additional warehouse tasks as they arise, contributing to the overall efficiency of the operation.

• Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse.

• Perform other related duties to support the team’s goals.

Qualifications:

• Crucially, a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to help with various tasks are essential.

• Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.

• Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 60-70 pounds.

• Demonstrated ability to operate a sit-down forklift (hilo) is required.

• Familiarity with drills, taps, and reamers is a significant plus.

• Experience with FedEx and UPS shipping procedures is beneficial.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• Ability to work well independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly wage: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on your experience.

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

• Upon successful transition to a permanent employee with our client, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays. More specific details will be provided during the interview process with the client company.
