Location: Rochester, MI
Pay: $25.00–$30.00/hour
Schedule: Full-time | 8–10 hour shifts
Travel: Up to 25% for on-site installations and service

Description:

Entech is seeking a Mechanical Technician who brings true mechanical knowledge to the table. This isn’t a general assembly line position—we’re seeking individuals who are confident building from blueprints, working with tools, and diagnosing issues in the field.

You’ll assemble high-end capital equipment in-house, then travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, and occasionally rebuild or service machinery. If you’re mechanically inclined, thrive in fast-paced environments, and enjoy solving problems with your hands and your head, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on mechanical assembly and integration of complex capital equipment

• Build from mechanical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings

• Work directly with engineering to suggest design improvements and resolve technical issues

• Travel to customer sites for equipment installation, troubleshooting, mechanical repair, and rebuilds

• Manage mechanical integration and system testing at our Rochester facility

• Coordinate equipment shipment and site readiness with internal teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of machine assembly, mechanical build, or field service experience

• Strong ability to diagnose mechanical faults, adjust components, and execute repairs

• Confident using hand tools, pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and build sheets

• Prior experience in field service, mechanical maintenance, or equipment installation preferred

• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

• Able to travel up to 25% as needed for installations or service calls

• Driven, self-motivated, and thrives in a team-oriented environment
