Position Overview

Entech Staffing is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Manager in the Wixom area! The Advanced Manufacturing Manager will oversee daily production operations, ensuring quality, safety, and OSHA standards are met. This role will continuously improve processes to achieve economic and efficiency goals, maintain a high level of housekeeping, and foster a well-organized facility.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activities and priorities for Production Operators and CI Engineering teams.

  • Possess a deep understanding of all chemical production and part production processes.

  • Develop and implement production planning and scheduling strategies to minimize downtime and lost production.

  • Be highly present on the production floor to monitor operations and address issues.

  • Maintain production equipment and ensure it meets safety and quality standards.

  • Monitor production consumables and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve labor productivity and efficiency.

  • Regularly evaluate procedures against quality management system (QMS) standards.

  • Work with the quality department to resolve production, customer, and supplier nonconformities.

  • Identify areas for improvement in existing manufacturing processes and implement enhancements.

  • Provide technical expertise and support to CI Engineering.

  • Ensure a safe workplace and adhere to all safety regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organization, communication, and leadership skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance tools, measuring devices, scales, etc.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed, capable of working well under pressure.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.

  • Proven ability to coach and develop personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced production environment leading a team.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform a full range of motion and stand for extended periods.

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis.

  • Experience working in a production environment.
