After just one year with a company Entech represents, Demitri earned a raise in recognition of his exceptional performance. We are proud to have him as part of our team, and it was our privilege to name him our latest All-Star employee. We were excited to interview him and learn more about his journey.
Q: So obviously we know you are excelling at your job. Can you tell us a bit more about what you do?
Every day at my job looks different. I work in the warehouse and always have a different task to complete that day. I usually have PPE equipment that I load onto trucks and take to different locations. Sometimes I am organizing the warehouse. I maintain, offload, onload. I’ve been doing this work for over ten years. I also drive forklift and am responsible for a fleet of vehicles. With the organization and experience I have, I am able to get the job done. I’m happy doing it, because I like having multiple tasks. I like that here you won’t be micromanaged, as long as you are a self-starter. If you are willing to put in the work, it is pretty manageable.
Q: And you found this opportunity through us. How did you hear about Entech?
I applied to a job Entech had posted through Indeed. This is actually my first time working with a staffing company. I’m happy, I’ve been in this job for going on two years now.
Q: Tell me about your life outside of work. What brings you joy?
Hanging with my daughters. Any time I have free I spend with them. We do all kinds of things: go to the park, the beaches, Cedar Pointe. I have a 10 year old and a 6 year old. I grew up with brothers, so having all girls is different for me. I love spending my time with them.
I also love to travel. That’s something my fiancé and I love to do together. I’m a big basketball and football fan, too.
Q: Have you always been a Metro-Detroiter?
Yup, I am from Pontiac. That’s where the majority of my family is. Most are stationed here in Pontiac. Family is everything, so that’s where I stay. Not everyone has family they can come home to. Every day I’m trying to become a better person, a better dad. My family is my motivation for that. Its all for them.
